The Balsam Mountain Preserve, a private community in the Great Smokey Mountains, will host an Open House featuring the Walters' Home Saturday, October 30 from 2pm to 6pm. The timber frame home has already earned the highest statewide accreditation point count of any NC HealthyBuilt Home Gold project and is one of the first homes in western North Carolina to achieve LEED-H Gold status from the US Green Building Council.
