January 2011 Raising, Timber Frame Barn Addition

An addition to an existing barn, agricultural reclaimed or "as found" timbers will be used for this frame. The timbers will be cleaned and to make them work in this structure, new joinery will be hand cut by our timber framers. Overall four bents containing a simple truss with slanted struts design will be raised.  A 22 foot by 17 foot clear span will provide room for winemaking and other hobbies. A true stone exterior, with industrial salvage timbers and custom doors crafted by our fine woodworking division will adorn the exterior.
